Andrew Bond-Webster
Andrew Bond-Webster is a highly experienced telecommunications leader with over 40 years in the industry, of which more than 32 years have been dedicated to expanding the Asia-Pacific market. He brings a unique perspective, having built his career from the service provider side before moving into the vendor environment, giving him a holistic view of the industry spanning satellite, terrestrial, and subsea domains.
Andrew began his career at BT Group in the UK, contributing to the development of the early online services sector before relocating to Asia in 1993 to establish Equant Network Services’ regional offices. In this role, he was instrumental in introducing and scaling technologies such as Network, X25, Frame Relay, and IP Managed Services to multinational enterprises across the region.
Following his success in building service provider operations, Andrew transitioned to the vendor side, where he applied his insights to help international enterprises and the financial sector adopt advanced connectivity solutions. His 12-year tenure at Infinera was marked by significant achievements, where he developed deep expertise in submarine cable systems and highbandwidth optical networking, establishing himself as a trusted partner across APAC.
Today, Andrew serves as General Manager and Vice President of Connectivity & Cable Solutions Broadband, APAC at CommScope, where his portfolio extends beyond FTTX to encompass Metro Fibre and Data Centre Interconnect, Private Access Networks for power utilities, mining, and infrastructure hubs, as well as wireline connectivity supporting tower infrastructure. He is passionate about enabling broadband innovation, strengthening enterprise and retail connectivity, and supporting digital transformation across the APAC region.
