Hamid Maani
Hamid is a seasoned industry professional currently a member of the BW-Digital SLT as the Chief Sales Officer. BW Digital owns and operates the Hawaiki cable from Australia/New Zealand to the US and is developing sustainable digital infrastructure assets across Australasia, Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, and Northern America. This includes NDP1, a datacentre campus in Batam, Indonesia, Hawaiki Nui 1, an Australia-Singapore submarine cable, and NCC, a new Singapore-Batam submarine cable, among many other infrastructure services and investments. Hamid comes with a wealth of knowledge of the trends and dynamics in the industry ecosystem, continuously evolving into machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloudification, and ongoing emphasis on sustainability.
Hamid has held multiple senior strategic roles for the last 25 years in ANZ, APAC, Africa, and other parts of the world, having worked for a few multinational companies. He is an electronics engineer with strong business acumen. Hamid is happily married and has a 14-year-old daughter. He is passionate about sports and music and enjoys running, cycling, swimming, and other outdoor adventures.
